Service Employees International Union Labor Bosses are focusing election year efforts on immigrant voters according to emails from March 19. In an organized campaign to turn the nearly 9 million green card holders into US citizens prior to the Nov. 5 election, labor leaders see an opportunity to elect Democrats and roll back worker protections such as the right to work.
Labor bosses have touted their success organizing new voters in Michigan to hand Democrats control of the state and provide long-term electoral gains to Progressive politicians. Michigan liberals promptly overturned the state’s worker protection laws. Labor leadership has expressed views that an investment in pathways to citizenship as an ongoing strategy for securing Democrats long-term control of the federal government.

Polls show that 80% of Americans consider the situation on the southern border to be either a “crisis” or “major problem” and 70% of Americans disapprove of the Biden administration’s handling of the issue.
