This past weekend, the 3rd Annual Special Needs Prom, “A Night with the Stars,” took place in Milledgeville, providing a memorable experience for attendees of all ages. The event was hosted by Donnie D-Boy Cannie and Primecare Pediatric at Primecare Milledgeville Midway Center, located at 1735 Irwinton Road.

The free celebration welcomed individuals of all abilities to enjoy an afternoon of food, drinks, and music in a supportive and festive atmosphere. Event organizer Donnie D-Boy Cannie shared his goal of making everyone feel included and celebrated.

Co-organizer Susie Harper Marshall explained that the idea for the event originated with Cannie, who was inspired through prayer to create an event that would bring joy to the special needs community. Together, they turned that vision into reality.

Guests were encouraged to attend in any attire they felt comfortable in, as the focus was on participation and enjoyment rather than formal dress. The prom continues to be a highlight in the community, celebrating its third successful year of bringing people together.
