The race for the primary run-off election for State Representative District 145 is underway and Dr. Juawn Jackson is facing off against Tangie Herring. Dr. Jackson, a stalwart resident of Macon-Bibb County, has a history of service to the community including his time spent as President of the Bibb County Board of Education. In his quest to meet and discuss the issues with his voters, Dr. Jackson headed back to a place of deep personal meaning to him – Pendleton Homes, the same neighborhood in Macon where he grew up. There he spent time conversing with potential voters and apprising them of his agenda and policies, going door to door where he spent his childhood.
From his time spent serving in the Ministries to the crucial role he played in his community’s enhancement, Dr. Jackson’s life has revolved around serving the residents of Macon-Bibb. He plans to continue this if elected. “Committing a lifetime towards the betterment and service of Macon-Bibb County” – quoted Dr. Jackson while discussing his priorities for House District 145.
